A Call to Fast and Pray
Before launching his earthly ministry of teaching and healing, Jesus himself fasted for forty days and nights (Matthew 4:2). Christ’s followers should seek the Lord with prayer and fasting — before acting on our personal ministries, when facing incredible hardships and doom, when confronted with the pain and suffering of others.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
This Founder’s Day, from 2 July 2023 to 8 July 2023, intentionally set aside time to FAST, PRAY and READ the Word.
