Committed to Keep in Step
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Time and again we are forced to cry, โLord, help me, strengthen me, enable me, give me the power to speak, act, and be more like Jesus!โ
Hence, as we gather on this Commitment Sunday, let us reflect on our journey of faith and recommit ourselves to living “In Step with the Spirit.” This Territorial theme, drawn from Galatians 5:25, reminds us to align our lives with the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit.
Living “In Step with the Spirit” is a call to action, summon to serve others and grow spiritually. It is a path that leads us beyond our limitations and into a life of purpose, bearing the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
However, this path is not without its challenges. Temptations of this world may try to sway us, weariness may dampen our spirits, and discouragement may cloud our vision. But as we walk in step with the Spirit, we find strength to overcome these obstacles and emerge as beacons of hope, radiating the love of Christ.
In this new year 2024, let us embrace the call to serve. Let us reach out to those in need, offering a helping hand, a listening ear, and a compassionate heart. Let us be the embodiment of Christ’s love, extending grace and kindness to all we encounter.
As we serve, let us also nurture our spiritual growth. Let us immerse ourselves in the Word of God, seeking wisdom and guidance. Let us cultivate a spirit of prayer, connecting with our Creator and drawing strength from His presence.
Living “In Step with the Spirit” is a journey of transformation, a path that leads us closer to God and deeper into our purpose. It is a journey that requires commitment, perseverance, and a willingness to surrender to the Spirit’s guidance.
On this year’s Commitment Sunday, letโs yield to the godly desires to manifest in us as we reignite our passion for serving others and pursuing spiritual growth. Let us embrace the challenges with courage and the blessings with gratitude. Let us walk together, hand in hand, “In Step with the Spirit,” transforming lives and communities, radiating the light of Christ into the world.
May God bless you abundantly as you embark on this extraordinary journey of faith and service.
